i've only used it a few times because it's a bit bulky for me but it works and it's quite cute since i use an empty can Tin Ashtray Altoids (and have for years) I already have a 'bin' for my ashes and cigarette butts and I can take (and have) my tin everywhere, as soon as I close the tin the smoke stops NOW. SO. It's a bit awkward to use, and since (as others have pointed out) the smoke is only trapped when the cigarette is in the ashtray. It's a bit pointless unless you want to light up and walk away for 10 minutes 😊 If so, you might not be a smoker at all! LOLI was mainly interested in capturing my smoke WHILE I actually smoke, so I bought 3 small air purifiers and 3 large Heppa air purifiers and carry a small white "True Air" around the house or put it where I smoke most. and they work great (O: I'm happy and my partner is happy (who doesn't smoke)
