Review on 🧵 Solid Wire Spools in Various Colors by TUOFENG by Sean Patel

Wire looks exactly as advertised. I took 26, 28 and 30 AWG and they were all on the same level. All boxes have openings for use as dispensers. Each spool is fitted with Velcro to prevent the wire from unwinding when stored elsewhere. The silicone insulation is extremely flexible and appears to be heat resistant. I heated piece 26 along with a piece of another wire with a hair dryer set at 200C. The coating of the other wire started to melt, but the TUOFENG wire was not damaged. The diameter of the wire was measured and found to be approximately the correct size. These comments raised concerns that there might be too much tin. The comment mentioned that the tin could not be removed without damaging the wire. Yes. Tin and solder form an alloy on the wire surface that cannot be removed without damaging it. I ran a blade along this wire to make sure it was actually tinned copper wire. Additional tests can be performed, such as a resistivity check, a more accurate AWG measurement, or a check of the exact copper to plating ratio. Other than that, based on what I've already seen about the wire, no further testing is needed. The wire is as advertised, functional and inexpensive.
