Review on Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 24mm f/1.4G ED: Superior Wide-Angle Prime Lens for Nikon DSLR Cameras by Joshua Flake

Honestly, this is my favorite lens. I mostly used Nikkor lenses and this lens got the most attention. It's a solid, quality construction. Because of its versatility, small size and relatively light weight (compared to other fast prime lenses), it can easily become an everyday landscape lens. 6 months after buying this lens in the store, I was shooting with a relatively thin tripod and the wind knocked the camera over. The lens hood cracked and the body came out of the episode with a few minor scratches, but that's it, it hardly suffered from that brutal fall. I also dropped it in a lake once and after having it cleaned up with water damage it continued to do what it does best - take great pictures! Now, 3 years later, I use this lens a bit more selectively. I only use it for night shots where it excels.
