I built a bathroom in a closet but it has no windows. It is very dark when the lights are off, especially when the person is taking a shower and the electricity is out. I have two 12V 100Amp solar panels so I bought this charger to charge an 18Ah GM battery which powers two 12V wheeled ceiling lights (one in the bathroom and one in the dark hallway leading to the garage). The backlight stays on day and night, at least until the battery voltage drops to the set level. Now we don't have to worry about standing in the dark while taking a shower, and we can safely go to the garage in the event of a power outage. Cheap and works.
