These are great everyday shoes. First I went with black. At first they were stiff on the forefoot and after a few days the skin peeled off and I felt like I was moving towards the foot. I love seeing Merrell slide those sources of mayhem into GTX. I don't wear wide ones but I assume you have a wide foot, they might be on the narrow side. They have great grip and I haven't experienced any heel slippage. They are more breathable than I expected. I really like her. I usually wear a 14 but I went for 15 and it worked great. hope this helps other buyers
