My last jug broke and when I was looking for a new one this seemed like the best option. We've been using it for about a month now and it works like a charm. The filling cap is difficult to open at times, and the full cap sucks up well enough that we don't have to worry about leaks (and I struggle to take it off at times). Basically, we brew iced coffee in it and pour hot coffee straight from the coffee pot. Pour into a pitcher and then chill in the fridge. There were no failures or problems. It also holds around 12-13 cups based on the coffee pot. As promised, it fits perfectly in the fridge door, although it can be a bit tall for the most average apartment fridge shelf. The top shelf is more than fine, and the new model's fridge probably won't have any issues with its placement.
