I bought this strip because it has many of the features I want: well-placed outlets designed for convenience and functionality; large and bright on/off light; illuminated surge protector; decent size; wall mounting; and braided cable. On the plus side, it also has four USB charging ports. I installed a bar under my desk where I can easily reach the power button and connect devices as needed. I also installed an LED lamp under my desk that I turn on when I need to see the strip and other things stored underneath and it also has a switch that connects to the strip as you can see. in the picture. With my laptop plugged in, it's important to turn off the strip when not in use, as laptop chargers have been known to get hot if left on for hours; It's much easier to unplug the power strip than plugging and unplugging a laptop charger. I am very happy with this purchase and will buy a different one next time I need a new extension cord.
