Review on High-Resolution Touch Screen Acer T272HL Bmjjz HDMI Monitor – 27 Inch WQHD Display by Allen Robinson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good entry-level touchscreen with some caveats.

Pros: Beautiful appearance. A clear plastic pad on the bottom keeps the work surface high enough for comfortable touchscreen use. Edge-to-edge glass makes Windows 8 edge-to-edge swiping simple and easy. The tilt-adjustable support arm is ideal for use in an upright position or when lying down and for using the system from above. Cons: I couldn't get the touchscreen to wake a computer from sleep. When the computer goes to sleep, the mouse and keyboard will wake it up, but touching the screen does nothing. Couldn't find any information from Acer or internet searches. I had to resort to a black screensaver and never fall asleep. Also, sometimes the touchscreen was not recognized but gave the error "Failed to request USB device descriptor". I tried 3 computers with 32bit and 64bit Windows. After a week of emailing Acer tech support, I solved the problem by unplugging the power cord and holding the power button for 10 seconds. When reconnected, it was recognized immediately and worked. He did this twice while sitting on the bench in my office. The device is currently in class production, so we'll see how it works in the future. Finally, if you use more than one touch point, e.g. B. 3 to 5 fingers when you swipe in a game, the touch really lags behind. While this may be the result of the computer's CPU usage, it means that this touchscreen should not be connected to anything below an i3 processor if you want good touchscreen sensitivity.

Pros
  • 1 rpm
Cons
  • Upgradable
