Review on Schmincke Horadam Aquarell 5ml Paint Tube Metal Set - Vibrant Set of 12 Colors for Artists by Carmen Rosean

I know the size is small but it's ok because I want to try the Schmincke. I chose a tube shape to give me more options when using colors. The metal box survived the shipping without dents or dings. The case is definitely high quality, it's easy to open and close, it can be used as a pallet (remove the tubes). The pipes are securely fixed in the box. There is a metal stand under the pipes, but baking sheets and a tray are not included in the kit. Each tube is not soldered. Only one color is watery, all others are pasty (do not protrude from the tube). For these colors I bought the Portable Painter's Travel Palette. According to YouTubers, 5ml can fill half a pot 2, 3 times or so, not that bad. Since not much is enough, I hope that these 5 ml tubes will last me for several years. Another trick to keep the paint soft in the tube when not in use is to wipe the thread with petroleum jelly using a cotton swab. See the Schmincke website for detailed information on each color (10 out of 12 are single pigment colors). This helps a lot when mixing colors. Also according to the YouTubers, these colors are more restrained with good transparency for the glaze.
