My Jack Russell Terrier likes to bark at everything and everyone. We've tried putting "shock" collars on her in the past, but she always squeaked when it went off. We couldn't keep those guys with her long enough to stop her barking. We've put this collar on her for about a week now (when she goes outside) and at first she seemed annoyed more than anything and kept whining at the sounds. But as she kept barking and the vibration started, she seemed to realize it was her barking that was causing it. Without electrocuting my dog, we managed to reduce his barking. She still seems to be testing her limits by barking a few times when she's not home, but much less often. I gave him 4 stars because it didn't completely stop them from barking. The battery lasted a couple of days - we usually leave it out for about an hour each day when the weather is good, which it has been. For the price, it's definitely worth a try if you're looking for something that won't electrocute your pet.
