Works well and I'm glad I have it, range is small, really useful, mostly just at home, I've used it several times since I'm always looking after my car keys, i have a bad habit of losing them. If I could take my grandson shopping or walk somewhere else I can't see him, I put a lanyard around my hose and around my neck if I lose sight of him (I have 2 grandsons). ) I press the appropriate button on the transmitter and as long as they are within 30 meters or so I can easily find them. In terms of range, I tested the range outdoors and can hear the buttons up to about 150 feet. If there are obstacles I may have to press a button on the transmitter until I hear a beep, it may not work that far but it's much better than none, a really fun gadget for kids, they will play hide and seek for hours, both transmitter both receivers use 2032 batteries and if you have kids they will find key finders soon enough and you will be glad you have some extra batteries, actually send them in. I put one of the receivers in my wife's purse before we go shopping (ever tried to find your wife at the grocery store?)
