Exactly what I expected! I knew it wouldn't have magnets and was a little concerned about that. However, a little washi tape worked great! The quality of this item is very high. Lid with mesh - thick acrylic. The hinges are strong. The base is very light plastic with no flex in the middle so you can press hard without distorting the image. I've used this with clear stamps and rubber stamps. I was able to get a clean, sharp image every time. The foam insert was not needed. If the ink wasn't enough or didn't spread well (usually my ink pad wasn't sufficiently inked), I would reink the image and stamp again. IT WAS WONDERFUL! I used the platform to *stamp layered stamps. Super easy and fast! * Stamp big bold word. Signed, stamped, stamped, stamped and voila! Perfect letters! * Mask the word. no problem! put a seal, smudged, erased the word and pressed. Fiction! *Cleaning was easy while the stamp was on the lid - I wiped a baby wipe and then removed the stamp. Next I will try to frame the 12" x 12" page as well as the tissue paper. I'm sure it will be a piece of cake. This is amazing stuff!
