Review on Kask Super Plasma High Visibility Helmet - Fluorescent Lime by Derrick Feliciano

I bought a Kask Super Plasma helmet to replace my Petzl Ecrin Roc after talking to several professional climbers about it. I'm an avid caver, climber and canyoner - I go out almost every weekend, day or two and all my vacations are outside - I've been doing it aggressively for the last 10 years. I need a versatile and lightweight helmet. I prefer hanging helmets to foam-lined helmets and after many fittings I just stopped paying attention to what traditional leisure brands had to offer. It ventilates well and fits my small head well after adding the velcro foam padding. I love the comfortable chin strap, my headlamps stay secure and overall it's a great helmet. This helmet probably saved my life Sunday when I fell 15-20 feet from a broken anchor in a ravine. I fell on my side and hit my head on the side so hard I damaged the suspension system. I lost consciousness for a few minutes and suffered a severe concussion. Thanks to this helmet, I was able to get out of the gorge on my own (and luckily with firefighting insurance from other members of my group) after two more big descents. If I were wearing a helmet that didn't fit me, wasn't designed or made that well, or my ancient and beloved Ekrin rock, I'd sure need help (and if I wasn't wearing a helmet at all, it would be recovery, no Salvation). Side impact protection was extremely important in this case - I have a huge bruise/inflammation/swelling on the side of my head and face. I quickly bought another helmet which will arrive on Thursday of this week. Thank you Kask and Revane.
