Review on Bushnell 360401 Back Track Original: Your Ultimate Personal GPS Locator by Joshua Mejia

You can't trust the compass, but other than that I like it.

Ok it's not perfect but I would still buy it again. I found this while playing. Yes, it will take you back to the marked location, maybe not there directly, but you will get there. Yes, it takes about 45 seconds for the GPS satellite to connect when it is first turned on. This can take longer outdoors when you are in dense trees. I used to work while walking through a dense pine forest and it works great, it's just that even outdoors the figure needs to be recalculated every now and then, but it's really brief (maybe a second or two that often), none big thing. Just remember to hold this thing horizontally in front of you, not vertically in front of your face. wow right Compass function, well I suggest you buy a real compass. To get this thing close to the right one I had to hold it straight in front of me, take about 3-5 steps, then stop and turn around to make a full circle. Then it almost always points fairly close to the north. If you walk in a straight line in the open sky, the north arrow deviates about 45 degrees in each direction. I didn't buy it for the compass feature so I don't care. Apparently he can drive up to 999 miles from the marked spot. I've only used it at about 700 yards, so I can't test other distances. I'm also not sure if you turn it on in a good way from where you last used it. It takes an extra 10-30 seconds for the GPS to connect and the same goes if you use it for a day and then wait a few days before using it again. Yes, it has a backlight and will turn off after a short time (I can't remember how long) if you don't press the button. Also, pressing any key (possibly any) will turn on the backlight for a few seconds. You can also switch from English to metric measurement.
