Large vice that runs fairly quietly. Free of play when loosening the clamped part; The 5.5" vise I tried earlier had shockingly bad play, so it's a relief and a huge improvement. These vises seem worth using in a workshop. The double jaw expands versatility with longer clamping distances. There is enough room on the side edges of the anvil that I can turn a 3" board into a sliding block that I can use as a stabilizing base for a circular saw. I've found that manufacturing/shipping oils and lubricants seem to wear off. After pinching about 20 gauge dented sheet metal to even it out, the effect went from silky smooth to crunchy after 20-30 pinches for 15 minutes. Another reviewer suggested disassembling and re-lubricating it as soon as you receive it: I'd say that's wise advice and I'll do it once I find a better lube for it.
