Gave it to my husband.

He likes this vise. It's a lot harder than what he wanted. After doing some research I decided to get this from stock and it was a great decision. He has an excavator and needs something heavy from time to time and his old vise broke this summer. He has already used it to repair snow chains for backhoe loaders and was very satisfied.

Pros
  • Good product for the price

Amazing vise, suitable for power tools and hand tools

This is a great vise with great features. The base is solid, the locks are positive and hold the vise very well. The great advantage of this vice is the reversible jaws. They are large enough to be used as a U press and to hold very large items. Lots of space for soft cheeks, very good anvil with lots of power. Good effect, even better after screw lubrication. I'd like to see a nice brass bushing on the end of the screw, but the workmanship is good.

These vises seem worth using in a workshop. The double jaw expands versatility with longer clamping distances. There is enough room on the side edges of the anvil that I can turn a 3" board into a sliding block that I can use as a stabilizing base for a circular saw. I've found that manufacturing/shipping oils and…
