I (had) a clogged shower drain. When I got the gripping tool I thought what this plastic thing would do with it. Tried through the shower screen, nothing happened. The teeth on this thing have all been pulled out. I was like hell That does not work. I then tried it on the sink and that didn't work either. As far as I could tell the sink had no drainage issues. I was annoyed ready to give a 1 star review. I chose the last shot and removed the grate from the shower drain. Then he started pushing the object. After 1 minute still nothing. Then I stuck it deeper and it seemed that the object hit something and couldn't pass. It looked like a build up of calcium, so I just kept moving it up and down and up and down until it seemed to go away. When I picked up the instrument again, it had a tuft of hair and limescale deposits. The drain now flows normally. Please note that before using the tool, I poured the drainage bath down the drain. That helped, but didn't completely solve the problem.
