Have you ever tried other types of Master Links with a lock? Or you put it on and just when you think it's going to tear, it pops out and you can't find it. Oh yeah I'm sure if that happens and you're in a field somewhere far from home and it's the only thing you have and you can't find a clip or anything else to help you get back inside come. And you end up pushing the bike for miles before you can call anyone for help. I know this has happened to me and it's not funny or fun until it's over. Then you laugh at yourself (no). I'm so lucky to have this main link that they snap into place in a second with no other parts. Others come in three small parts and can be tricky to install if you don't have much experience. It's so easy to install and remove. I am very happy with them.
