Bought because the laptop's internal microphone had a conflict and was not picking up sound. I may never go back to the internal mics in the system. On Windows 10 there are no problems with detecting and interacting with the microphone. The button at the top that lets you mute the source without going into settings is a useful touch. It's hard to argue with him for the price. I downsized the star because I really think the USB that goes in the port seems flimsy and not very durable. I expect the wire to break with too much torque. I recommend people grab the flat part and pull to keep it intact. We've been using it for a few months now with no issues, but at this price point I wouldn't be surprised if this was an inevitable weak point.
