Review on QR790 S Camera Wi Fi Sensor STRVIS by Felicia Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality DVR

QR790-S is a replacement for 7900 ACE. The 7900 DVR has worked great for over 4 years (and will be installed on another computer). Other (cheaper) DVRs don't even last 3 months. The product is of high quality. I haven't found any relevant production-related crashes. Instructions (in English) are sufficient. Installation is easy if you have a little experience with it. The cable length for the station wagon (SKODA Octavia III Scout) proved to be more than sufficient. There were two small problems: WIFI does not accept password or SSID changes (neither from the application nor from QVIEW). - It is not necessary as it is almost always disabled. In addition, the settings can be easily changed. The windscreen mounting plate does not allow the camera base to be adjusted (rotated) like the 7900, making assembly difficult. Photos/videos are taken in high quality. Of course, the reversing camera has problems with dirt on the rear window (must be installed in the area of the rear window wiper). The ADAS system seems to work well even on small roads, but the lane departure warnings are starting to get annoying. when you need to make a lot of voluntary changes (note: the dash cam cannot detect voluntary changes using indicators). I have not tested other ADAS systems at all. At least I haven't mentioned any malfunction for about 1000 km. I actually disabled ADAS because I already have those features in my machine. The product must show whether, like its predecessor, it can withstand years of heat, vibration and cold on the windscreen. Conclusion: high-quality workmanship. High Quality Videos. Good ADAS function (under evaluation). The above problems do not justify devaluation.

Pros
  • 2CH QHD + FHD. The QR790-S takes front and rear shots in Quad HD (2560 x 1440p / Sony Exmor R STARVIS sensor) or Full HD (1920 x 1080p / Sony Exmor sensor) at 30 frames per second.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
