Review on πŸ”₯ Aramox Precision Spark Plug Gap Tool, 14mm Billet Aluminum Car Spark Plug Gap Tool Caliper for Sparkplug Gapping by Paul Ziegler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great product, not a perfect solution but it works.

The screw that presses on the spark plug rod is not smooth and cuts into the rod a bit at the spark plug gap. This is easily solved by placing a flat piece of metal (such as a washer) between the end cap yoke and the bolt in the tool. Also, the threads for the fork aren't quite straight, but that didn't really matter when I started using a washer between the fork clamp and the adjuster bolt. Not a perfect solution, but a great option if you don't want to spend more than $100 on fancy connector gaps. Also, a little tip for the user: the connector band springs back a little when you snap it into place. For example, I wanted .028 on my connectors, but I had to use .020 probes and rotate the tape until it touches the electrode probes. Then the band springs exactly to 0.028. All in all a great product. I just wish the screw had a smooth finish and the plug threads were straight. I will continue to use this and recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap splitting tool. After making a few corks I was able to burn through the rest of the corks and get very consistent results!
