Review on GE Lighting 42142 Decorative Replacement by Michael Cullen

I was looking for a suitable bulb for a 12 bulb chandelier. I've tried many different brands including Philips and others here at Revain but none of the bulbs fit. Most are too bright, some are too white, some are badly shaded. The color temperature on them 2200-2500K is ideal and very close to a conventional incandescent lamp. Most of the bulbs I tried on the 2700K were much whiter than regular bulbs. At 150 lumens they are not as bright as other lamps in this class which are harmful to the eyes. They are brighter than a regular 15 watt bulb but not as bright as a full 25 watt bulb which can reach 250 lm and even 300 lm. I have used them with the new Lutron dimmer and they dim perfectly, very evenly and no flickering at all. They have a slightly tinted yellow lens that gives them a vintage look. Excellent lamps but very expensive.
