I used to use window films - some good, some not so good. This is one of the good ones. Make sure you remove the backing before applying. I found the easiest way to do this by following the instructions: take a piece of double sided tape, stick it to the smooth backing at the end of the piece you want to install, and rip it off a few times. This creates a small bubble at the edge so you can separate the item from the backing. I splashed some soapy water on the window, trimmed it the way I wanted and smoothed it out with a small scraper before trimming it with a planer knife. I held my little squeegee along the edge as I cut to keep everything in place. It wasn't difficult to make and it looks really nice. It looks like a real stained glass window and offers enough privacy but at the same time lets the light through. I like it.
