Review on πŸ–€ Sanus SF34-B1 Steel Foundation IV 34" Black - Sleek and Sturdy Stand for Home Theater Systems by Wendy Backous

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The lack of a cable management system gives it 3 stars instead of 5

Nice looking, strong and durable speaker stands. Overall a good product, but the lack of cable management is a really big drawback. Thus, the speaker cable can not be hidden anywhere. The stands come with two plastic rings to hold the wire at the top and bottom, but they're completely useless. To solve this problem I drilled 3 holes: 1 in the footrest itself and 2 in the rear tube (top and bottom). ). This allowed me to route the cable under the stand and up to the rear tube, into the tube and then through the back of the speaker. I understand Sanus' point of view that the tube could be used to fill with sand or other material for extra weight, but as there are only 3 small holes in each tube I doubt this is a common use case. But I can imagine most owners wanting to hide the speaker wire.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Vulgarity
