The lack of a cable management system gives it 3 stars instead of 5

Nice looking, strong and durable speaker stands. Overall a good product, but the lack of cable management is a really big drawback. Thus, the speaker cable can not be hidden anywhere. The stands come with two plastic rings to hold the wire at the top and bottom, but they're completely useless. Excellent build quality

Sanus sF34-B1 Steel Foundation IV speaker stands represent excellent value (probably at any price). They are very strong and durable. Designed to hold 25lb speakers and probably can. I plan to pair them with a Definitive D7 set that weighs 10 pounds each. The footprint of the D7 is just over 6 x 6.5 inches at 5-9/16"W x 9-1/8"D. plinth in any direction. I probably wouldn't exceed the footprint of the 12" x 12" speakers without using the included speaker anchors to securely mount them. As…

Really 4 1/2. They are much larger in reality than in the photo. My new SVS bookshelf speakers fit this stand perfectly and look proportionate. However, there shouldn't be a universal standard for stands and speaker mounts - stands have different mounting holes that support 'some speakers' but not SVS. I used a Blu-Tac for assembly, which was easy enough, but the 6x6 top board is a bit small for large bookshelves. The listed load spec of 25lbs is extremely conservative, I think they will handle
