Review on KuWFi 2.4G Outdoor CPE Wireless Bridge, Point to Point Long Range Access Nano Station with 12dBi Panel Antenna - Supports 24V POE [2-Pack, Pre-Pairing] by Joseph Campos

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It finally worked, instructions useless, lots of trial and error

I tried the "plug and play" method and had no connection at all. Through previous experience, through trial and error, I figured out how to get the link working by logging into the console on each device and selecting the MAC address of the other end, which does NOT match the MAC printed on the device address matches. I contacted KuWfi tech support and told them the instructions are useless for regular customers who aren't network techs. The microtext "Quick Setup Guide" is written by someone who doesn't speak English, the illustrations are illegible. KuWfi has to provide step-by-step instructions for basic scenarios like setting up a point-to-point bridge, changing security, etc. without going through 300 menus and hours of trial and error. I suspect KuWfi makes a lot of money from this frustration. This is unfortunate as the device offers many useful features that are undescribed and obvious unless you sit around fumbling with it for hours like I did. Mansi from KuWfi Support (mancy@kuwfi.com) responded very quickly and helpfully to my questions and suggestions for improvement, and Mansi said that KuWfi would improve the documentation and would take my feature suggestions seriously. The good news is that the link is live and working as advertised and is FAST! I plan to buy more of these devices now that I have a secret handshake. 3-star rating due to frustration with link installation and operation. Good luck everyone!
