Review on Dorman 265-818 Transmission Oil Pan: Ideal Fit for Specific Models by Greg Princeking

The perfect replacement for the Liberty KK 42RLE. I also love that it has a check/drain plug as the original car didn't have one. The original skillet was rusty and starting to leak. As far as I can tell this pan is of good quality, with thick metal and a nice finish. The kit does not include a magnet for catching small metal particles that may float in your transmission oil; I only noticed this AFTER installing a new pan.d'o! It's a bit odd that this was left out as the Dorman differential cover I bought at the same time had such a cover. By mating this pan with a Lube Locker gasket and after the service was completed, there were no leaks. One star deducted due to the missing magnet in the pan.
