Corelle Utensils heavier than Ceramic

These are beautiful utensils that don't remind me of traditional Corelle utensils at all. The main reason I like Corelle cookware is that it tends to be more impact resistant than any other cookware that appears to be ceramic by nature. I threw many plates on the floor to show how difficult they are to break, but if one of them breaks, it shatters into a thousand little pieces. I have no idea if these cymbals can take the same amount of abuse, but it will be interesting to see when I finally drop one. They are much thicker and heavier than any traditional Corelle cymbal. This makes them look like higher quality items, but it also loses some benefits. Corelle's thin plates take up much less storage space, making them ideal for small kitchens, caravans and the like. They were also lighter than most other meals, making them great for on the go. They don't have any of those perks - they're one of the heaviest meals I've ever had. And they don't really stack evenly - they don't seem to slide off the stack, but the stack wobbles when you press on the edges because they tend to catch at 2 points between each plate. The color and finish are nice but some photos show lighter and darker pigments on the surface of the panel. Please note that you can choose between hard glaze and reactive glaze. Gradient colors are reactive. Solid in itself looks boring, but the shape of the plate is nice with details around the outer rim. The high edge on the sides is convenient for eating with sauces or lounging on the couch. I was surprised that they are oven safe. Haven't tried baking them and I'm looking for the top temperature range, but it's a really nice perk. With the raised rim, I can imagine cooking multiple dishes on one of these plates. At the very least, reheating should be a great benefit to save on dirty dishes.
