This is the perfect tool for old hard drives. Every company has computers that they just keep on hand, and when they eventually break down, finding replacement parts can be a hassle. It allows me to plug in old laptop IDE or Pata hard drives and extract important files even if the computer is a little dusty. Also, with SATA, I can throw it in my bag and work with any hard drive I can get my hands on. Runs pretty fast and doesn't get hot. I love the thick USB cable that comes with it and that it's a dual USB cable so I can easily find a replacement if I lose it. Overall a great tool. Highly recommended.
