Review on microSHIFT MTB Triple 3x9 Speed Shift Levers TS70-9: Superior Shimano-Compatible Shifters for Mountain Bikes by Mark Fleming

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost as good as Shimano.

_____*Pros: - Works great on my mountain bike replacing OEM Shimano shifters. _____*Neutral: - Both upshifting and downshifting require more effort than comparable Shimano derailleurs. - I wish there were more shift position markings. _____ * Cons: - None. I wanted a set of Shimano 3x9 derailleurs but couldn't find real or cheap ones due to the shortage of bikes caused by the COVID pandemic. I chose these Microshift switches and I'm glad I did - they're easy to install, easy to index, and shift accurately and reliably. My 9 speed cassette is Shimano Alivio CS-HG400-9 and my derailleur is Shimano RD-M591 9-spd. For the chain I use KMC X9.93 9-spd. These Microshift derailleurs are paired with Shimano Alivio BL-T4000 brake levers, and finding the right position where they didn't work was easy enough. I bump into each other. My only complaints, and they're relatively minor, are that the levers don't have soft-touch textures and the up and downshift movements require more force than Shimano levers. If Shimano parts were available I would go with Alivio or Acera 3x9 derailleurs. However, I am very happy with these Microshift switches and glad I took the chance. These switches get a solid 4 stars from me. 👍
