Review on Sanilo Strong Molded Toilet Choice by Joel Young

I thought I was smart until I tried to install this toilet seat. If I hadn't been so stubborn, I would have given up. So the seat is great. (I bought a green sheet). But it literally took me 2 hours to find the right twist so the seats were long enough to overhang the bowl, have the same rim on both sides, and sit flat. I wish the instructions were a bit more detailed, I've tried finding a video on YouTube or here to no avail. Part of the problem is that the width between the bolts has to be exactly 5 11/16 inches or the saddle won't be straight. Maybe it's my toilet. My last fancy toilet seat was more forgiving and lasted 30 seconds, it was one of those beautiful seahorse acrylics but the hinge screw came loose and ripped the seat hole 3 months after purchase. Here's what I learned today through trial and error. When you rotate the hinges they must be exactly mirror images of each other or the seat will not sit flat and will be crooked. And you must use the same screw hole position on each side. Measure the center of the toilet hinge hole to the long edge and make sure the hole is 1/4 inch longer to the edge of the toilet lid. Also be careful not to chip the edge of the toilet lid when adjusting the hinges, I need to touch up mine with paint or something. Put a box underneath as a pillow, avoiding the floor. Much luck. Now I'll put the second one on top, hopefully the planets align and Mercury doesn't go retrograde. Rschunimagu.
