I drive with a DVR in my car and it comes with a very similar cigarette lighter charger. After about eight months of continuous use, I noticed that the connection dropped and the light went out, indicating that the charger was no longer receiving power. So I would reach down and more or less plug it in and I really had to play with it a bit to make it work. If I hit a bump, bang, it stops charging again. After a while I got bored and bought this one to replace it. Works great. No hiccups, solid connection, the cable feels comfortable and appears to be made of quality material. I'm a happy customer.
