best investment I've made in this unit

I've been thinking about buying one of these for a while but haven't had the time until recently. I had to take my Expedition to the garage to change some torsion bars and Mike, my mechanic, says his kids put K&Ns in all their cars and swear by them. His two children are mechanics and work in the same workshop, that was enough for me. He said if I could get a K&N at a better price than he did he would be happy to install it. So I looked around and saw that Revain had better prices than their supplier and a week later we removed the old air intake. Took about half an hour to install just because these guys have done this before and unlike me keep their tools in order. but it was a fairly simple setup. It looks great under my hood and I can see my engine now, but when I drive it I see my money well spent. It's like my asthmatic machine suddenly has new lungs and I feel at least a 10% increase in HP. The transmission doesn't change gears as often when going uphill, and starts are much more responsive. Now there's a whoosh when I step on the gas instead of shuffling. The first and second fills showed a steady 2mpg increase in fuel economy. Not much, but given the power gain I'm very pleased and can't wait to get behind the wheel. The next step is to modify the exhaust pipe to make the car breathe even better. Hi. I need to hear him roar!
