The ball is smaller, making this mount useless.

A 17mm bullet is actually 16.88mm - so small that the GPS becomes too loose to carry. There is also a risk of dropping the GPS. The thumbscrew feels like it will break the plastic easily if overtightened. It's unfortunate because it would keep my GPS at the perfect angle if only the ball was the right size.

Pros

Also suitable for scooters, bicycles and other vehicles with handlebars.
