Review on AcuRite 06044M Wireless Temperature Humidity by Mike Martz

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The most accurate remote sensor?

This is the most accurate remote sensor I have found. It can work standalone, but also works with compatible AcuRite temperature/humidity consoles. Most growers can reach fairly similar temperatures, but relative humidity is much more complex, so it's good to see AcuRite living up to its name. My main complaint is that there is no specification for tenths. This seems to be common across the AcuRite line, so it obviously reflects the design philosophy. And I understand that sensors in this price range can't be accurate to tenths, but tenths are still useful for trending. It is getting warmer? You can't say anything until it warms up to a full degree. And a small nuance - the fastening system is rather weak - a triangular hole on the back. The viewing angle cannot be adjusted on the wall or on a surface. But to come full circle, if you want reasonably accurate relative humidity info, this one beats most by a head and shoulders.
