Fantastic price, makes sense to expand with these

I have a combination of indoor and outdoor sensors that work with my system. Considering how inexpensive they are, I've installed one in every major part of the house, including the basement, attic, porch, etc. I've also placed one next to the HVAC mini-split fan to keep track of temperature fluctuations. while it is in use. It usually takes a few minutes for a new sensor to appear to be added to the system. So enable them one at a time, otherwise you'll end up with a bunch of unnamed sensors…

The most accurate remote sensor?

This is the most accurate remote sensor I have found. It can work standalone, but also works with compatible AcuRite temperature/humidity consoles. Most growers can reach fairly similar temperatures, but relative humidity is much more complex, so it's good to see AcuRite living up to its name. My main complaint is that there is no specification for tenths. This seems to be common across the AcuRite line, so it obviously reflects the design philosophy. And I understand that sensors in this price

I purchased one of these sensors to complement my Acurite Access & Atlas system. I use it to control room temperature and humidity. I've had it for about a month now and so far it's working well and seems pretty accurate. One limitation is that after a few weeks of not showing a low battery indicator, it began to "fall off" from the Acurite Access system. Restart/reset didn't help. It wasn't until I replaced the batteries with new ones that it worked properly again - ie weak batteries can give…

I am very happy with the AcuRite Temp Humidity Sensor with LCD display. (up the stairs without convection) Upstairs bedroom and in addition to sensors connected to my AcuRite hub. It's an LCD model so I can just look at it and see what the temperature/humidity is in my room. Thanks to my AcuRite network hub, I can check the temperature/humidity upstairs on my iPhone along with outdoor and other indoor sensors covering my living room, basement, and porch. As a stand alone device it is nice and…

Nice little 433MHz thermometer sensor.

They work well but only seem to be accurate to +/- 1-2 degrees (using a FLIR infrared thermometer for comparison). It's good enough for my purposes though, it lets me know if something is comfortable or not and gives me a health check if I'm hot or cold to see what it might be. The battery life is not as good as that of the outdoor sensor. since it uses AAA cells instead of AA cells (1 year per set of AAA cells for this indoor model), but having an LCD display for personal reading is very nice…

I have 4, no two readings agree, also there are reliability issues!

AcuRite is an ironic company name. Actually it should be "pretty close, maybe". I have 4 identical ones and when I add them up none of them will be the same. Different temperature, different humidity. However, they are not expensive, so I think you should not expect proximity. I bought this because I have an AcuRite Iris™ (5-in-1) weather station with two internal displays and an AcuRite Access for Remote Monitoring internet connection. I also have an AcuRite outdoor lightning detector with a…

Wonderful performance. Good batteries make all the difference

I bought two of these to test for a home automation project and used them simultaneously for several months. The price is very attractive and I wanted something with a large display. It's hard to get such cheap individual parts, let alone a boxed sensor unit. But are they reliable? Shortly after I set them up, one device worked for about a week and then "froze". I had to take the batteries out and put them back in to reset, and it will still run for a week or two. I finally contacted support…

A Little Secret About This Thing

You might not expect much from this little thermometer when you first see it, after all it looks a lot like most of those cheap little plastic things you put the Must report temperature your room. It actually costs less than many of them, so you can just skip it without thinking twice. But wait, for around twelve bucks, this little device is worth considering if you have or plan to get the right AcuRite home weather station components. I have one of their more luxurious weather stations…
