Review on AcuRite 06044M Wireless Temperature Humidity by Yuan Walsh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I have 4, no two readings agree, also there are reliability issues!

AcuRite is an ironic company name. Actually it should be "pretty close, maybe". I have 4 identical ones and when I add them up none of them will be the same. Different temperature, different humidity. However, they are not expensive, so I think you should not expect proximity. I bought this because I have an AcuRite Iris™ (5-in-1) weather station with two internal displays and an AcuRite Access for Remote Monitoring internet connection. I also have an AcuRite outdoor lightning detector with a temperature and humidity sensor. The lightning detector and the internal displays also show different measured values. The 5-in-1 station and these sensors connect to an Access internet device so I can track their readings using a web browser on my computer or the AcuRite app on my phone. I would like to mention that the web app has the ability to make adjustments to the metrics shown online, but with seven (7) different metrics how do you know which one is correct? These 4 sensors periodically stop sending their information to the access device. ; I have to go to the unresponsive sensor and remove and reinsert the batteries to force the sensor to reestablish communication with the gateway. These outages occur several times a month. All of these components are AcuRite products and are advertised as compatible parts of an expensive system designed to work together. (These individual sensors are inexpensive, but the AcuRite Iris™ (5-in-1) weather station with dual internal displays and AcuRite Access for remote monitoring is definitely expensive.) The problems are NOT due to trying to find a bunch put together from parts from different manufacturers.
