I bought these after surviving another Thanksgiving lifting a heavy turkey in a foil pan with all the drippings. I lifted the pan and as I tried to grab the pan and move it to the counter my fingers and thumb sank into the very hot fat and burned like crazy after soaking the glove. Now I use them and don't worry if I touch hot liquid because it won't go through the teflon gloves. I found I didn't feel any warmth from them like the old cotton towels I've used for years. They can be washed under running water or put in the laundry. I haven't washed them yet, I just rinsed them!
