I bought 4 of these for an off campus home that has 4 college boys, one of which is mine. The heaviest child weighs 250 pounds. Any wooden leg chair that we thought would last when bought at a flea market or brand new didn't last long. We changed 8 chairs in 1.5 years. I don't know if they jumped into the kids pool with beer or jam but they just couldn't take it. On the other hand, these chairs, each rated at 500 pounds, are very, very strong, with good welds and the only wooden seat. Each chair leg has a plastic leg glider pre-installed. The paint appears to be durable. Only complaint is that I wish the underside of the wooden seats were pre-drilled (holes) for the 4 bolts used to attach to the frame. for attaching the seats with the supplied Phillips screws with a wide pan head. All chairs were well packaged (2 per box), the frame is completely wrapped in foam.
