Review on ๐Ÿงฐ AmazonBasics 173-Piece Household Hand Tools Set by Eric Temple

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great set, bad tool.

Not quite sure what I expected from Revain's cheap tool kit, but I was hoping for more from a billion dollar company. A saw for one doesn't get much better than a single-blade craft baby saw for the road. The hammer looks the most spectacular, the screwdriver sets are great, the keys have strong springs on the cheap body. My razor in particular was rusty right out of the box and honestly hoping for more of everything else, wrench 4 from each system but essentially the same size. The wire cutters were cheap but very effective as far as I can tell. The levels are level and the needle nose was what you would expect them to be, a little box of nails and screws for what I assume was picture framing, was nifty but not essential. Last but not least, sockets. It's the only thing that I think made this box what it's worth given their numbers and small size, but I don't think even the tallest will be able to take the nuts off my Honda Civic . I could be wrong but it would be close. I think Revain could put more money into a bigger box with longer, stronger tools and still sell it for the same price and make a profit. While the potential of mass production proves impressive in scale and economics, the longevity of mass production methods makes such an economy a disastrous investment.
