The connector is molded so there is no way to visually check which wire color is connected to which pin. After a lot of troubleshooting and realizing that the pins shouldn't be wired the 'standard' way, a little tinkering with the multimeter confirmed this. Someone in this manufacturing process thinks the yellow wire should be grounded and the white wire should be the left turn signal. Not to mention red taillights, green brakes and so on. very poor
