Totally disappointing. First, this thing is so small that it won't fit in a decently sized pot. I was blown away by the size when it arrived. Okay, so I put it in a smaller pot. The size of a large apple does not fit in the basket. Its diameter is probably 3.5-4 inches. I used it for fried red potato rice and instead of fitting snugly in the basket, the mashed plate felt slightly smaller, so the extra potatoes flew out of the top block instead of being mashed. There was approximately 20% waste material that never made it through the riser. I would recommend that you look elsewhere.
