Your experience might be different. Mine didn't work right away, even after I adjusted the electrical pickup points to ensure a solid connection was made to my truck's plug. To make sure the tester was at fault I then tested each one manually with a grounded tester and in fact my truck plug is 100% working. Tester is garbage. Unfortunately, I didn't open the box until a few months after ordering, which I sometimes do, although I try to avoid it as sometimes it can happen. If you think the start of your project might be delayed, do not order this until you are ready and a return is still possible.
