I spend a lot of time in the kitchen trying cheap foods as often as I buy expensive ones. This knife is definitely worth buying as it combines a hybrid boning knife with a small hatchet. It's sharp, holds the sharpening well, feels comfortable in the hand. I've used it for deboning chickens, chicken thighs, steaks, and roughly chopping veggies. It's a bit larger than I expected based on my eyesight, but the shape, point and sharpness mean it can do exactly what it's meant to do, and it's also heavy enough to chop if you do to need. It looks very similar to some of those knives you might see in popular outdoor cooking videos on Instagram and TikTok, but it's a fraction of the price. So if they catch your attention, give this one a try. It should be noted that the blade is not thin. So if you want to accurately cut things like thick/raw carrots, zucchini, potatoes, etc. it will split more than a straight cut (think splitting a log). No minus because it's not designed for that anyway, just a fair warning.
