Doesn’t even remotely resemble leather

I bought a few different types of easy-care placemats, including these, looking for faux leather ones with a fairly realistic leather look.
These don’t check that box: they look entirely fake, nothing like real leather. They do seem like they’d hold up fairly well, and would be easy clean, but the look really isn’t suitable for anything but day-to-day placemats for meals with the kids—not setting a nice looking table.
