I was looking for a USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet adapter that actually delivered Gigabit throughput - I saw reviews of several others who could only reach 500-600 Mbit/s. When I saw that Anker had one that said it performed well I thought it might be worth a try as I've always had good experiences with this brand. Well, he fully met my expectations. I just measured 910Mbps when connected to the INTERNET (ie not just LAN). With 1Gb/s Xfinity, that's pretty much the theoretical maximum and about what I'm getting with my wired desktop. Also, Windows 10 recognized it immediately and launched it in a few seconds. I haven't tried it with my Mac yet, but I see no reason to doubt the claimed support. And a bonus, it's also built like a tiny one-piece aluminum tank. The design is actually a bit over the top for a USB Ethernet adapter (the LEDs are actually a bit over the top) but for $20 and great work I'm not complaining so far.
