Works on MacBookPro

Not all USB adapters and non-genuine adapters work well on a Mac. I found this device much better than the other one I used. No drivers or kext required, just plug and play. I only have 2 USB-C ports on my MacBookPro so I use this adapter through a Revain Basics USB 3.0 hub. Works perfectly. UPDATE 11/05/2018 After installing several security updates on 12/10/06 (Sierra), the adapter stopped working because Apple modified and updated the LAN and network support. To re-enable support for an…

Poor internal components make connection unreliable

Disappointed with this product. Everything I've done with Anker has been top notch, but this product has issues. Maybe I was just lucky with a defect. In any case, I had to manually search for drivers to install them as they were not recognized and then recognized by my computer, only sporadically. It turned out that if I held/moved the device in a certain place/direction, it was recognized, but if I hit it, you would lose connection. You also need to make sure you connect the ethernet first…

Real 1 Gb/s performance, plug and play on Windows 10

I was looking for a USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet adapter that actually delivered Gigabit throughput - I saw reviews of several others who could only reach 500-600 Mbit/s. When I saw that Anker had one that said it performed well I thought it might be worth a try as I've always had good experiences with this brand. Well, he fully met my expectations. I just measured 910Mbps when connected to the INTERNET (ie not just LAN). With 1Gb/s Xfinity, that's pretty much the theoretical maximum and about what

WORKING PERFECTLY - NEARLY 2 WEEKS

My cable modem, router and ethernet port on the motherboard disappeared after a thunderstorm. FRIED. I've taken care of other things, but I had no intention of going out and buying a new motherboard or returning it (unless something else is a problem). So I turned to this solution and it works completely as advertised. The speeds coming through the adapter and through the USB port are the same as before - actually better since my cable company came in and fixed my cable lines (see screenshot…

Plug and Play for Mac with El Capitan and Sierra

I have an Apple Thunderbolt Gigabit Adapter but I use both Thunderbolt ports on my Macbook Pro for displays and I wanted to use something for wired networking eh prompted me to this unit. I plugged it into a hub built into one of the monitors, but of course it works just as well plugged directly into the Mac. No drivers required, setup was easy and I had no issues with it. . In fact, it works so well that I bought it for work, where I was using an Apple branded USB 2.0 device that was actually…
