Not all USB adapters and non-genuine adapters work well on a Mac. I found this device much better than the other one I used. No drivers or kext required, just plug and play. I only have 2 USB-C ports on my MacBookPro so I use this adapter through a Revain Basics USB 3.0 hub. Works perfectly. UPDATE 11/05/2018 After installing several security updates on 12/10/06 (Sierra), the adapter stopped working because Apple modified and updated the LAN and network support. To re-enable support for an Anker device, you must visit the website of the manufacturer of the chipset used in the device. In my case it was the Realtek 8153 chipset. If that is your case, visit realtek dot com and download the kext/MAC OS driver for the 8153 chipset. It is a simple installer and you will need to restart your computer at the end of the installation. The device will start working as soon as the Mac restarts. Enjoy it!
