Review on ๐Ÿ’‡ Black Conair 1875 Watt Hair Dryer with Cord Keeper - Amazon Exclusive by Robert Hodge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Dries well but feels heavy and cord curls a lot.

While purple is my favorite color and the cord storage is handy, those two factors weren't enough to stop me from returning it. My previous hair dryer was a Revlon 1875 Ceramic Ionic with infrared. Technology I bought pretty much exactly 3 years ago and it hasn't dried my hair as well as it used to. The same hair dryer is still available but I need a better hub so I decided to try this model first. I immediately noticed an improvement in drying speed, but it was so hard! Next, the short cable proved to be a problem. Its tendency to frizz was annoying and I spent a lot of time twisting it up while drying my hair. Finally, I knew it didn't have any sort of hook/loop (like my previous model) but I figured it didn't really matter. I've since learned that (for me) velcro is a must. Before sending it back I bought an Infiniti Pro 1875 Watt Full Size Salon Performance AC Motor Styling Tool/Hair Dryer; Soft Touch Red (also by Conair). I wanted to compare them and also get some stats like wind speed, weight and decibels. So far I like it and have since returned this model. As you can see below, the Infiniti Pro is actually heavier (although it appears lighter), so I asked my husband for his opinion on the trio and he found it wasn't very well balanced. I also immediately noticed an improvement in drying speed and air speed compared to this model (8km/h faster at altitude!). Weight of this model: 575 g (1.27 lbs) Cable length: from the base of the handle to the end, 60 inches. 88 Airspeed: High, 19.4 mph; Low: 11.8 mph Low: 94 Airspeed: High, 24.6 mph Low: 18.5 mph longer.) Revlon (my old model) Weight: 511 g (1.13 lbs) Cord length: 68 inches Decibels: high, 96; low: 84 airspeed: high, 21.7 mph; low: 14.5mph
