My kitchen has 6 built in bulbs on one circuit. I like very bright white light and have replaced all 6 bulbs with the correct ones. Two lightbulbs started flickering so I replaced them again. A few days later it started again. I thought the problem was in the circuit, but I couldn't find anything. I pulled out the flickering bulbs and upon closer inspection found that they were identical in appearance to the Philips bulbs save for a small label identifying them as trademarks. I already had a couple of spare Philips bulbs so I swapped out the problem bulbs. The flickering stopped immediately. That was a few weeks ago and everything still works.
